Terms of Use

1. Provider

ANU Subs is offered by ANU Studios GmbH, Gewerbepark Bata 7, 4313 Möhlin, Switzerland (“we”). How to reach us is set out in the legal notice.

2. Scope

If you download the app from the App Store, Apple’s standard licence agreement for apps from the App Store (Licensed Application End User License Agreement) applies: https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/.

[legal review] If you download the app from Google Play, the following licence applies to the app: we grant you the non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use ANU Subs on your own devices. Google Play itself is governed by the Google Play Terms of Service: https://play.google.com/about/play-terms/

These Terms of Use supplement both.

3. What the app does and doesn’t do

ANU Subs helps you keep track of your subscriptions, costs and cancellation deadlines. All calculations are based on what you enter. So always check important deadlines in your contract too. The overview and reminders come without guarantee.

Reminders are notifications from your phone (iPhone or Android). Whether they appear depends on your phone’s settings, for example whether notifications are allowed, whether a Focus or Do Not Disturb is on, battery-saving features or restrictions by the manufacturer.

ANU Subs is not legal or financial advice.

Cancellation letters are templates. You have to check, complete and send them yourself. We don’t guarantee that a cancellation is effective, for example if the provider requires a signature or a specific method.

4. ANU Subs Pro

When the app launches, ANU Subs Pro will be available as a subscription for CHF 8 per year. It renews automatically until you cancel it. In the App Store, cancel at least 24 hours before it ends in your Apple Account settings; payment and refunds are handled by Apple. On Google Play, cancel in Google Play at any time before the current year ends; Pro stays active until the end of the period you’ve paid for; payment and refunds follow Google Play’s rules. A purchase only applies in the store where you made it. If Pro ends, your subscriptions and spaces are kept. On a new phone, you restore Pro with “Restore purchases” using the same Apple Account or Google Account. What Pro includes is described in the app and on the support page.

5. Your data

Your subscriptions are stored on your phone and, if you back up your phone, in your own iCloud or Google backup. We have no access to them and can’t recover lost data. You’re responsible for your own backups. So make a backup now and then under “Settings › Data”. How we handle data is described in the privacy policy.

6. Liability

[legal review] We develop ANU Subs with care. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for damage resulting from the use of the app, for example due to a missed deadline, a reminder that didn’t appear or lost data. This does not apply to liability for intent and gross negligence.

7. Changes

We update these Terms of Use when the app or the law changes. The current version on this page applies.

8. Applicable law

[legal review] Swiss law applies. Mandatory rights that consumers have in their country remain unaffected.
